Elise attended school at UW Madison graduating with a degree in History and Technical Theater. While studying in Madison, she fell in love with the city and decided to pursue a career within the four lakes. 

Elise’s journey in events saw her working at many different Madison arts and performance destinations, from theaters to music venues to art galleries, and one odd year where she worked as a trivia host. Although she originally studied set design in her theater classes, in the world of performing arts she naturally took on roles such as Stage Management, Event Organizer, and Production Lead, where she found her passion for working with people to make their event shine. 

Her love of craft spirits was fostered with her life-long involvement in Milwaukee Irish Fest, where whiskey was a major part of both culture and family. This, combined with State Line’s wide variety of events, performances, and celebrations made our distillery a perfect match for her. 

When she’s not at State Line, Elise enjoys visiting museums, going to haunted houses, and working on her many many art projects she still has to finish. Her nerdiest activities include making her own fictional languages and playing D&D, of which she is the game master.
